Consisting of Oscar de Jong, Wim Plug and Mark Kneppers, Kraak & Smaak’s impressive studio and performance career have seen the trio consistently create refreshing records and outstanding DJ and live moments during global touring across the globe.

Establishing themselves with a distinctively warm and uplifting, eclectic sound across genres, such as nu-disco, deep house, funk, electronic and indie dance, boasting a host of featured vocalists, which in the past led to outstanding artist collabs with for example Parcels, Ben Westbeech, Romanthony, Lee Fields, Mayer Hawthorne, Gavin Turek, The Palms and Durand Jones.

Originally starting out at UK’s funk and breakbeat outlet Jalapeno Records, until the mid 10’s, they have released their material on their own label Boogie Angst since, plus one-offs on various imprints such as Exploited, Spinnin’ Records, Toolroom, Future Disco and Too Slow To Disco.

Moreover, over the years they released various DJ mix compilations (Toolroom Miami Poolside, Bombstrikes Discofunkin’) and numerous club-vibed remixes for Jamiroquay, Solomun, Moby, Aretha Franklin, Detroit Swindle, Chromatics, Yuksek, the Funk Hunters, Tensnake, Royksopp and many more.

Performance-wise, K&S have graced many a stage across the world, with festival highlights such as Glastonbury, Detroit Movement, Sziget, Exit, Coachella and Bonnaroo, and saw them touring clubs across Europe, the UK, the USA, Australia, China and Mexico.
