Daniel Clifford opened the doors to Midsummer House Restaurant in Cambridge in 1998, after working since the age of 16 honing his skills in some of the finest kitchens across the UK and France. He worked under the guidance of acclaimed chefs, absorbing knowledge and mastering techniques that would later define his own unique style.
Daniel was awarded his first Michelin star at Midsummer House in 2002 and driven by his relentless pursuit of culinary excellence he was awarded his second Michelin Star in 2005. His innovative approach to traditional dishes and meticulous attention to detail quickly earned him widespread recognition within the gastronomic community. 2024 sees Daniel celebrating having been awarded 2 Michelin stars for 20 years at Midsummer House.
